January's Inspiration

Finally brought myself to give this novel another try. Oh, don't get me wrong, reader,
I never intentionally gave it up, I just found it too difficult to follow. Remember, English isn't my mother tongue.
Thoroughly enjoyed it this time though, now time to watch both film versions!

Air

First time I listened to these two guys was 3 years ago, when my (then) crush burned their music for the Virgin Suicides on a CD for me. I must admit, I found the music quite intriguing, but almost felt guilty about listening to it. There is something very sensual about it, which fits perfectly the atmosphere of the film as I later on discovered. In any case, I have this bad habit of listening to music when reading a novel.
So then as the story takes a visual form in my mind, the music is simply the soundtrack.
Playground Love was the soundtrack to Lolita, most of the time.

The entire Born To Die album by Lana Del Rey. I plead guilty to obsession.
Again, Lana's music has become my soundtrack for Lolita.
This was clearly inevitable, considering all the references:
the song Lolita
"Light of my life, fire of my loins" in Off to the Races

Hey Lolita Hey !

Into The Wild

Would it be an exaggeration if I said that for a few hours I was in love with Alexander Supertramp?
He was such a (lame description ahead) genuinely good person? Intelligent, conciderate and sympathetic but also so passionate and full of life. I was completely devastated in the end.

Rookie Mag's Shrine Post *click*
Definitely in my to do list. However, I think I want to leave my shrine building til uni next year perhaps.
It'll be my first step in decorating my room.

The Real Inspector Hound by Tom Stoppard

Let me start by saying that if you haven't seen the '90 film
Rosencrantz & Guildenstern Are Dead written and directed by Stoppard,
go do that right now. It's one of the best things I've seen.
Oh, and Gary Oldman and Tim Roth are the protagonists, need I say more?
However, the real inspector hound is the play my drama group is preparing, for school.
Not only is it hilarious, there are some very poetic parts in it:
"Magicians sawn in half by indefatigably smiling glamour girls."

  Biology class
We examined a bull's heart.
