The Paper Kites

So I realized there's something special about Australian indie-folk bands.
I'm not really sure what it is, but they have a completely different vibe to
them than say American or British indie-folk bands.
Maybe I'm just generalising here, I can't pretend that I'm the expert on the matter.
But lately, having discovered Boy & Bear, The Middle East and The Paper Kites,
it feels like I've discovered a completely new genre. Oh and I shouldn't forget
Angus and Julia Stone and Big Scary.

Here's a quick playlist. First, close your eyes. Then pick a number, from 1 to 7 and listen to the song!

  1. fall at your feet; boy & bear
  2. jesus came to my birthday part; the middle east
  3. silver coin; angus & julia stone
  4. thinking about you; big scary
  5. memoriess & dust;  josh pyke
  6. silver revolver;  lady of the sunshine
  7. bloom; paper kites
